Product concept
The ETA drive geared motor was developed jointly by Baumüller Nürnberg GmbH and ZAE-AntriebsSysteme GmbH & Co KG in 2010.
ETA drive displays a high efficiency, which is ideally suited for the food and beverage industry. The two-stage bevel-helical gear unit with a sensorless permanent magnetic synchronous motor is, on account of its surface finish, also suitable for aseptic applications.

Performance profile
- The motor was optimised electrically and mechanically
- A special bearing concept permits the connection of the two-stage bevel-helical gear unit
- Efficiencies of up to 90 % (in combination with the synchronous motor)
- Simple cleaning thanks to integrated terminal box (special surface) and lack of “dirt traps”
- The drives are practically maintenance-free.
